DESCRIPCIÓN . DESCRIPTION
This apartment is situated in a building block within the city that is classified as affected, which means that the city retains the right to reclaim the block for public construction. The owners bought this apartment with that knowlegde and want to design an apartment they can take away in the case that the building is being reclaimed. The apartment building was constructed in 1896 with original tile floors and ceiling moldings. Therefore, the approach for the design was very simple, kitchen and baths that are thought as furnitures. lighting and wirings and other installation hang from U channels, hardly interferring with the existing floor and ceiling. The kitchen is designed as two sided, so that the couple can cook and clean together on either side of the kitchen. It is also thought to be use as sections: store, clean, prepare, cook and finally eat. Both the kitchen and the bathtub are made in the same plywood materials.
